Accommodation

Accommodation is available in the University Place Halls of Residence and the Weston Halls of Residence. It will also be possible to book accommodation at the Manchester Conference Centre’s Days Hotel.

University Place Halls – Situated adjacent to the conference venue. These rooms all offer single bedded rooms with en-suite/toilet, private telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. Towels and toiletries are also included.

Weston Halls – Park of the Manchester Conference Centre situation on Sackville Street which is approximately a 15 minute walk from the conference venue. These rooms all offer single bedded rooms with en-suite/toilet, private telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. Towels and toiletries are also included.

Days Hotel - Park of the Manchester Conference Centre situation on Sackville Street which is approximately a 15 minute walk from the conference venue. All of the usual modern conveniences are standard, such as trouser press, hairdryer, TV, direct dial phone, and tea/coffee making facilities. Broadband Internet access, enabling guests to surf the web, or pick up emails is available for a fixed cost of just £5.

Accommodation reservations should be made at the time of registering for the conference and full payment must be made in advance. Delegates will be responsible for arranging their own transport to/from the conference.

Student and International Delegates Drinks Reception

There will be a drinks reception for International delegates and those attending the Student Conference where they will have the opportunity to meet the BERA Council from 18.30 to 19.00. This event is for International delegates, Student Conference attendees and BERA Council only.

Wednesday 2nd September
Main Conference Welcome Reception

An informal evening with pre dinner drinks reception is open to all delegates at no extra cost. Please indicate that you wish to attend on your registration form. This will take place from 19.00 to 19.30.

Thursday 3rd September
Option 1: Conference Dinner 19.30 hrs onwards
Delegates will have the opportunity to dine at a truly unique venue. Please check back shortly for further information.
Cost £60.00 per person.

Friday 4th September
There will be various options for delegates to chose from for the social programme on Friday evening. Please check back shortly for further information.

Tickets for Social Functions will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Tickets must be pre-booked and cannot be purchased at the conference.
