*All full-time students are entitled to register at these rates but must submit a letter from their institution confirming full time student status. The student fee includes accommodation on Tuesday night only and all meals on Wednesday, including dinner.
THE FEE FOR REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS INCLUDES:
• Attendance at all plenary sessions and your choice of parallel sessions
• Morning and afternoon tea/coffee each day and lunch on Thursday and Friday.
• Conference bag and programme information
• Self service dinner in the Rootes Restaurant on Wednesday 1st September.
Payment Of Registration Fees
Full payment must be made by credit card at the time of registering. Credit Cards accepted are VISA and MasterCard only, NOT American Express or Visa Debit cards.
If you would like to register a group of 6 or more people, please email bera@in-conference.org.uk. You will be sent a separate registration form to complete.
All lead presenters (including those in symposia) must be registered by the 14th June 2010 or their abstracts will be withdrawn from the programme.
Delegate Cancellation
Notification of cancellations should be sent by email to the conference organisers (In Conference Ltd). Substitutions can be made at any time.
| Up to 31 May 2010 | The accommodation and registration fee will be refunded less £35 administration fee. |
| After 31 May 2010 | The accommodation fee will be refunded only if the room can be resold. The fee will be refunded less £35 administration fee. |
| After 05 July 2010 | No refunds on accommodation or registration fees will be made. |
| No Shows | Will not be refunded. Cancellation charges will be made by the venue or hotel for the total number of nights booked. If you fail to arrive at the conference you are still liable to pay in full. |
| Cancellations | Will only be accepted if they are received by email. |
| BERA Membership | If you have signed up to become a member of BERA at the time of registering and subsequently need to cancel your registration, your membership fee will not be refunded. |
Bursary Awards
Student And Teachers Bursaries
BERA awards bursaries each year to UK students, teachers and occasionally overseas students to attend the BERA Annual Conference. You must submit an abstract for the conference to be eligible to apply for a bursary. To apply please download an application form and return it to the conference organisers, In Conference by the 26th April 2010.
Hardship Funding
It may be possible to apply for a reduced conference registration rate if you are a part-time student with no other source of income or if you are an individual wanting to attend the conference with a similar case of hardship. Please email bera@in-conference.org.uk providing details of why you are applying for a reduced rate to attend the conference.
Membership of BERA
If you are not a member of BERA please click here for more information. You can also become a member at the same time as registering for the conference. This can be done by clicking on the link at the top of this page which will take you to the online registration form.
Special Requirements
Please advise the conference secretariat of any special dietary (including vegetarian) or physical requirements when registering so that your needs can be accommodated.
Cancellation Of The Conference
The organisers reserve the right to cancel the conference in case of any unpredictable event.
Insurance
The conference cannot accept any liability for personal injuries or for loss or damage to property belonging to the delegates, either during, or as a result of the meeting. Please check the validity of your own personal insurance before travelling.
Visa
If you are travelling to the conference from a country outside the EU, please check visa regulations before making any travel arrangements. BERA does not provide letters of invitation.
